Having an issue when my monitors go blank after Windows(XP) start up.

I can tell that Windows successfully starts as I do hear the start up chime and will also hear the plug and play chime if I plug in or unplug a peripheral.

I am running two nvidia 8600s in SLI and the issue occurs with either if I attempt to run only a single card.

I can start the machine is safe-mode, both have not been able to figure out any particular settings (have tried the lowest on all) which would allow me to get going in regular start up.

Please help!

So they are fine in safe mode, but don't work in normal mode?

What's the refresh rate set at?

You may want to reinstall the video drivers from the manufacturer's website.

I had set it to minimum values. I will try to re-install the drivers (seems odd that they would suddenly fail). Do you have any other ideas of what to try?

set it to 60hz....if that doesn't work, try reinstalling the drivers.
