Have a GeCube HD2900XT... my idle temps are 55°C to 60°C in loaded temps i'm going as high as 82°C.

tried fans but still the same... just making some noise...

any suggestion on how to cool the video card.

if liquid cooled, what are the great coolers out there.

Prepare to be barraged with ati sucks comments..

Basically, the card should never go over what its safe with at stock cooling. If it goes there then its safe, I dont know a lot about 2900xt's but 90degrees sounds too hot, might be a problem with the fan.

Those temps are normal for that card.

Those temps are fine.

They are not much different than what you also see 8800 Nvidia owners report. My 8800 consistantly hits 78-80 when gaming. Hopefully that will stop the ATI vs. Nvidia bs right there.

Previous gen ati cards could hit 85C++, so you're safe.

mine starts artifacting at 115oC, your fine :D, lol.

 And then it's most likely memory and not the gpu... I'd love to know the max a core can go (instantaneous once off - not running).

Mine hits about 72 degrees in 3D and idles around 60 on stock cooling.

Apparently this waterblock by Koolance is pretty good if you're into water cooling.

Hi, this maybe a silly question but how do you know what temp your HD2900XT is running at, I have looked through the ATI control centre and cannot find temps listed anywhere, any pointers would be appreciated.

As a side note does anyone know of any fan coolers that will fit this card?

Thanks

Keith
