And nV's first complaint seems spurious at best since this shader based AA is hardware based and required support by DX10, but does not use dedicated hardware that is found on the G80 and not the HD2900. Software based AA would be like that found on AOE3 which is done by the host/CPU. And as mentioned before there are advantages to that shader based AA for things like HDR and correct geometry AA.

I do agree with nV on the shadow issue though, but not sure as to why the shadows are lowered.

Not everything is cheery in that TWIMTBP relationship.
