I'm replacing a crapped out power supply in an old Dimension 4300 for work. The problem is, dell being the "wonderful" people they are, have closed off the back of the case, except for a cut-out where THEIR power supply's fan goes, and a small hole where the cord plugs in. We had a psu at the shop, the plug in for the cord doesn't match up with the hole in the case, it's about a quarter of an inch farther in toward the center. If it was just my computer at home, I'd simply cut the back out, and make it like a regular case, but since this is for a store to use, not gonna work. This also means it can NOT have a power switch on the back, just the AC in, and possibly a voltage switch. I've looked on Newegg and found some that LOOK like they fit, but the one we already have is close enough that to look at it, you'd think it would work. Just wondering if anybody has purchased a psu to replace their dell and can point me in the direction of an exact fit. Thanks in advance y'all...PEACE!!!
