I have windows xp on my computer and am unable to cut and paste between the Internet & MS Word. Is there a buffer that needs to be emptied or how do I fix it?

Are you attempting to CUT from the internet and not COPY? If so, you will kick yourself the answer is so simple. You cannot CUT from the internet, only COPY. Use COPY (Ctrl + C) instead and then you should find you can now paste. Some items found on websites cannot be copied, for example Flash items, but this will certainly work on 99.9% of text and images.
