how far is your eyes from monitor

i have 19" viewsonic CRT monitor with glass filter and i run xp at 1024x768. my eyes stay about 4 feet away from monitor. all the lights in the room are behind my head. i think this is much better for my eyes.

totally depends on what i'm doing,,, sometimes pr0n gets intresting and even if you are watching it on a 32" lcd you wanna take a closer look (at say 5" away)
