All program tried to open in .exe extention.

I have windows vista and I am having a problem in opening any kind of programs like microsoft office, command prompt, calculator, notpad ... Every time I tried to open them it will come back with "Choose a program you want to open with". I never have this problem before. Any help, please.

Seems to be infected with some kind of trojans/malware.
Boot inro safemode with networking.
Download & install Malwarebytes & run a scan!
Remove the threats find!
Restart & try!
