I've got an eVGA 8800 GTS in the mail right now, I researched for a few weeks before ordering but now have a dilemma.

Apparently, the Chipset fan on my MB is going to get in the way of installing the card in the top Sli slot. If i flip the SLI selector switch on my MB I can install the V card in the bottom slot but with only X8 interface and not all X16. Has anyone found a solution to the same problem or seen any performance issues with only running in X8?
