I am doing large mechinical drawing files for customers. How should I partition this drive.

If it were me I would set 3 partitions of 167G each or a combination different sizes.
One for the Op. Sys and one for data and the last for backups or another op sys if you want.

By doing this your data will be seperate in case of a op sys failure and a reload is required.
You would also have the ability to install a different op sys on the third partition if you decide to upgrade. For example XP on the first partition and W7 on the second or third.
