Hi ive just been given two graphics cards one is a radeon 9800 256mb agp and the other is a nvidia 6200 256 mb pci can someone please tell me which is the better card to install as i have not got a clue. All help would be greatly appreciated.
As an Nvidia fan I'd have to say use the 9800, then you can sit back and just imagine how much better the 6200 would have been, just don't for love of all that's holy actually use the 6200 though, just imagine.
god you fanboys are really helpfull! and before you start with ati are rubbish nonsense I'm currently using a 8800 so please when someone asks for advice give a balanced response you plank, not just i love so and so so therefore they must be the best, o ye of limited intelligence

Silly questions, you mentioned one was PCI and the other was AGP, am i right, and did you mean PCI or PCIE, and which does your board support. Lastly, what card do you have in your system now.
Hi thanks for the comments.yes i did mean pci not pcie and at the moment i am using the intel extreme 2 onboard graphics my motherboard is a asrock p4i65gv with 1gb memory and a intel 2.8 cpu.
Hi again. sorry but i installed the 9800 and it appears that it isnt a 256mb but a 128mb so is it still the better card or is the nvidia better now???.
Interesting, I can't really compare clock speed or memory speed, and I suspect the interface PCI VS AGP factors a bit as well. I would default to some of the others on this one as the main factor is just the RAM I am inclined to suggest still going with the 9800, what resolution do you run at??
Well you should really pick the 9800 if it's a pro it's roughly the equal of an geforce 6600 so just think of that you could play oblivion on medium to low details but on the pci 6200 what would you gett in oblivion is just a slideshow.
So definetly pick the 9800.
