I just read an article to use my SMC 2804wbrp-g firewall and when I went to check whether it was on or not I found it to be off so I turned it on to help protect myself. However to my dismay when I did this IE did not display some images. For example the images on Google News would work while the searched images on Google Images did not. However I then tried Firefox after rebooting the browser which seemed to work but IE still didn%u2019t work. Tried many things to fix what I thought was a connection issue but they didn't work. Finally I thought that maybe the router firewall is blocking it and lo and behold IE worked after I turned the firewall off. I have broadband so it isn't just still downloading; the other computers which could still display images while I could not were Win XP with IE 6, and two Macs. Any suggestions besides turning the firewall off?
Any help is appreciated

Try opening up some ports on the router to make sure you just aren't blocking the traffic. Also, verify that you don't have both the Windows Firewall and the other firewall enabled... they may be creating some kind of conflict.
The Windows firewall might be it because I have both on. Which one do you think is better to leave on?
