I have the browser working fine then it is lost. No connection even though
the DSL Connection is shown to befine. I reset the DSL modem and it makes no
differend. When I restart the computer the browser again makes connection
with the internet.

I wonder if you have any answers for this condition?

Thanks

When you say that the browser "is lost", do you mean that the browser
closes or that your Internet connection drops? Please clarify:

1. What browser you are using.
2. What service pack level you have.
3. The physical connection to the DSL modem - ethernet or usb?
4. Is the computer old?
5. Is the computer 100% virus and spyware-free? If you think so, what
did you do to determine this?

Answers
1. I have the same experience whether I uuse IE6 or Firefox
2. Windows XP SP2
3. Connection to DSL is ethernet and the ethernet does not show a failure
4.The computer was purchased in February and is new
5 Norton anti virys, Lavasoft Adaware pro, Zone alarm pro and spybot all
active programs.

The browser is working on one site and I go to an other site and it cannot
bring it up or any other site from the bookmarks. I restart the computer and
it is fine again

Thanks Luckeyo

I'm not sure if this is your problem or not, but doing this will not hurt
anything.

Give this a try........

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the RegSvr32 dialogue box

If the hyperlinks still don't work after doing the above, follow the same
steps only replacing the urlmon.dll with each of the following:

Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll
