Updating Evga 7600GT driver

Well i have the Evga Geforce 7600GT and i tried updating my driver because it was at 6.13 (CD version). So i went on the site and downloaded the 74.21 driver off nvidia.com. I uninstalled my "nvidial display" from "add or remove programs" restarted, installed by clicking on the 74.21.exe and it says successfully installed. However when i right click "my computers" and click on hardware manage. It still shows as 6.13.

You can try several sites, but the 7421 driver is very, very old. If your running windows XP I suggest you use the following driver. I run NGO's 91.47 driver and it is very stable.

Before you uninstall drivers, I urge you to follow these steps to uninstall your drivers.

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5
2. Go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the Nvidia drivers.
3. Reboot into safe mode and startup Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5
4. Follow the how to guide on properly uninstalling your Nvidia Driver.
5. Reboot and install the latest Nvidia driver. (Make sure that you have the appropriate driver for your OS.)
6. After Installation reboot and you should be set.
