As I understand your question you want to know that if you add a fan to your cooler whether the fan should suck or blow. The fan on the processor heatsink should always blow air onto the heatsink, not suck air from the heatsink, not because of any difference in the cooling effect, but because hot air going over the fan motor will drastically shorten the life of the fan.

I have same question as well.. but for different heatsink (for Ultra 120 Extreme)... but hopefully the definitive answer is here.... please continue.... :p

You bet..... The extreme version difference is basically just additional 2 heat pipes but it also reduce the heat by several degrees and can overclocked higher.

The only one fan required for yours or my HS and based on the conversation here it think the fan should pull the air over the heatsink so the heat can removed from it and probably sucked by your exhaust.
