I re-partitined my system drive so that I could have XP and Windows 7 on it as a duel boot system. Decided not to stay with Windows 7 on the same drive so i formatted the partition with 7 on and resized the XP partition back to what it was so that it takes up all the C: drive. No matter what I do I cannot get rid of the duel boot screen on startup. Can anyone help please? In boot.ini their is no mention of windows 7 ONLY the XP system. Fixmbr in recovery console has not worked, and I do not want to reinstall and start from scratch. Any ideas guys?

The tutorial below goes into a little more detail.

It will guide you on how to edit the boot menu, so you have only one OS listed, not sure if you have to tweak the time-out settings (although I don't see the need with only one OS in the menu *shrugs*).

Anyways, hope this helps:
