  1. Try reading the first couple of pages of this guide and look for fixes while in Safe Mode.

  2. Thank you for that info, but now my problems bigger, upon waking up this morning and reading that section I decided to go turn it on and go at it some more with those suggestion and ideas. Now my probelm has only gotten worse. I cant even stay in safe mode no more. And I have 2 new errors that show up, 0x00000007e (0xc000001d, 0xed5f4ab1, 0xf5903ca4, 0xf9039ao) rt2870.sys - address ed5f4ab1 base at ed5c3000, date stamp 46aae7333 and the other one is 0x000000A and I didnt get the side info on that one. It seems to be changing everytime it restarts now. Only thing that scares me on this is the fact I have a lot of pictures that I have not backed up yet. So saving them would be wonderful. Any more information would be great. Thank you so much.
  3. Can you list your system speifications, if prebuilt list model number, RAM, CPU, MB, HD, PSU, etc.
  4. Sure....Microsoft windows xp home edition version 2002 SP2
    Compaq Presiro
    Penium (r) 4cpu 2.40 ghz
    2.39 ghz, 760mm of ram,

I was able to get on regular mode again for 20 seconds to get that. I can get on reg mode everynow and than for a few moments, safe mode still not working, safemode with command prompt sometimes. But it does not let me do chkdsk/r but it did run chkdsk and went thre 3 different things, than told me to type /r after to fix them but it does not accept that command prompt. Now I do have my laptop here so if there is a fix I can download and put on a cd and than go from there that is possible. Again Thank you so much.
  5. I would try taking out the RAM in slot 1 (the RAM closest to the CPU). Remove it and install the second DIMM in that empty slot.
