Microsoft Services - all stopped; access denied when trying to restart

Hello,

Has anyone else encountered this? The machine worked normally prior to a regular shutdown before leaving for work.

When I came home and started it up, the first symptom was no network. Upon investigation I discovered all MS services stopped. Various messages amounting to access denied ensue when attempting to start the event viewer or any MS service.

Hmm. You are an administrator right? If you right click a folder, any folder I believe, and click properties then security there are ways to give yourself permission for stuff. You will probably need to find a website that explains how to do it.
