Is Visual basic 8 included on Windows 7?

I want to know if Visual Basic is included on windows 7, because when i open program files i see the Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Visual Studio 8.
is this ok?

VB isn't supplied, what your seeing is probably the runtime support files.

If your after it, download Express edition for free from M$.

I see VS folders in the "Program Files (x86) folder on the machine I installed Visual Studio on, but not on another machine that doesn't have VS installed. VS does NOT come with Windows 7, you have to either download and install the free version or purchase and install the professional version.

However Windows 7 DOES come with Windows Scripting Host V5.8, and that includes the scripting version of Visual Basic.

i do have Visual C++ redistributable,because it comes with one of my games,but i guess that's different stuff?

Something you installed must have put it there. It doesn't come with Windows.

That's really unusual.

I know,i think R6 Vegas 2 requires of it, so C++ redist would install itself.
i can't find any way to uninstall visual studio 8...

It's not unsual, lots of apps use Visual C/C++/VB runtimes and install them during install, for example, ATI install VC during driver installs to support the control center.

The runtime libraries (also known as "redistributables") don't create "Visual Studio" folders in the "Program Files" directory...
