4GB & WinXP 32bit, to 3,4GB and 0,6GB RAMDISK???

If I'd equip my 32bit WinXP MCE2002 +SP3 laptop with 4GB of RAM, it only sees 3,2-3,4GB or RAM; a 32 bit issue.
I wonder if the 0,8-0,6GB lost can be rerouted as a RAM drive (separated from system RAM)?

No, the maximum amount of memory a 32-bit OS can address is 4 GB which includes RAM, video etc.

Not true. Think PAE.

It depends on your hardware. The missing ram needs to be remapped above the 4G physical address line. Can your hardware do that? The ram-drive software will then fetch it from up there.

I'd love to know how to do that!
I understand the physical limitations of my OS.
Unfortunately m y laptop is a Sony Vaio, which leaves no room for mods or bioschanges unless it's fully controlled by software.

If somehow the discarded memory could be rerouted to serve as another feat (eg VRAM, RAMDISK, or perhaps extra RAM, which can serve for VISTA Ready Boost).

I'd love to find if there's a patch that enables this.
