my windows tabs in the taskbar have all been consolidated to one. not just similar windows but all of them. i can not find out what i did to make it happen or how to get it back. i want it back. please help

i figured it out 
the quick launch window took up the entire taskbar. it could be cool if i had a bunch of stuff in my quick launch ?
