title says it all.
heres some background info:
i got a new i7 rig to replace my q6600 build, the only thing that i took out of the q6600 was the psu and one of the hard drives (it was just used for storage and is now being used for xp pro on the i7 build)
the q6600 build was originally an ibuypower pc about 2 yrs ago, still the same HDD everything else changed, i never reinstalled xp home, when i plugged my spare psu into the q6600 build it powered on and everything but when the windows xp screen shows up it goes to a blue screen...(os problem?) so i decided to do a repair install(i was planning on doing that anyway since its being sold to a friend.) the xp disk isnt a microsoft disk, its a repair cd with xp on it that came with my ibuypower pc and when i try to do a repair install it asks for a password, i have tried all the passwords i used for the admin account, nothing seems to work, so i decided to just install a fresh copy, i whiped out the HDD and began to install, about 13% of the way into the install it said that i was missing this file (cant remember the name) so i pressed skip and it happened again at 15%, again, i cant remember the file(i will post the files asap. i think one was called driver.cab or something),can anyone help me out? the disk isnt scratched at all and everything worked before i put in the psu (i dont think the psu is bad though)
