When I try opening the game I get the message "Links LS2000 has encountered a problem and needs to close." This message remains on my desktop and the only way I can remove it is to shut down my computer. The message of course, prevents the computer from displaying the games for play.
What is/are the problem(s) causing the shut down? Will the program ever resolve the problem(s)? The message takes over my computer. Why? Should I remove the program from my computer and start all over with the disk?

If it did work before, you can try reinstalling to get it working again. However, if the game never worked for you on Windows XP and you have downloaded all possible patches for it... then it will likely never work. The game is now so old that I'm sure you might not be able to download ANY patches for it.
