External hdd not reading

hi all i would like same help please .my usb 1tb hdd doss not sowing anywhere in the system.I change the wire i pluck it in different usb it drive me crazy.well come any help thank you

  1. Right click on the Computer icon on your desktop.
    Click on Manage.
    Click on Storage > Disk Management

    Do you see your 1TB HDD?
  2. THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY -GANDALF- I9 HAVE DONE ALL THIS ,IS NOTHING ON DISK MANAGEMENT,ONLY ONE DRIVE.THE NEXT THING I DONE DEVICE MANAGER NOTHING THERE,NOT EXCLAMATION MARK ON THE HOST CONTROLERS....????THANKS
  3. I assume the HDD uses a USB connection.
    If you have a mouse with USB, replace the HDD with the mouse to verify that the port is functioning OK.

    If that works OK, then I suggest you check your BIOS. If the BIOS does not see the HDD, then Windows will not.
