Acer erocovery discs for Acer Aspire 5315 and windows vista

I have an Acer Aspire 5315. I reinstalled to factory settings using the ercovery discs I ordered from Acer. The rest went fine, but windows vista is having issues. I have an error message that says "acecore.dll is missing and to reinstall windows." It also cannot find explorer.exe. I have reinstalled with the recovery discs several times and it's still not working. Vista boots up, but I get a blank blue screen with no startup or task bar. Could this be a hdd issue? Or if I install vista from a retail pack will it work? I'm really at a loss as to why windows is not completely installing.

Can you boot up into the Safe mode (F8)?
