I am running windows XP with Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104. Doesn't recognize recordable DVD-RW in drive. Downloaded latest driver. Tried different recording programs

The Windows XP CD burning wizard only burns CDs and not DVDs.

I don't know about that. I've tried Moveshaker and click to DVD. Same results. DVD burner came with computer running XP. Moveshaker and click to DVD also came with the computer.
