List all your components and we can give you more help. Can't comment on heat till we know what your build includes. The memory lists two speeds because its saying @ a front side bus of 333 you can run it with looser timings. Depending on your memory you may be able to still run a 333 fsb with the tighter timings it lists for a 266fsb. List your components.

Different Cpus are different temps at stock, for example my old 4800 would run about 28C idle on stock cooling....my E6600 is now running at about 32C with a Zalman 9700 attached....every cpu is different.

Temps 1 and 2 may be hardrive and/or case temp. Either way I'm guessing you're case has poor airflow. Does your case have a good exhaust fan and a good side or front intake fan to help avoid dead spots?

Hi,
OK after some Photoshoping I've managed to give you guys a nice overview of my computer...

can someone please tell me where the heat is comming from?
Or in other words... what's the TEMP1?

Thanks

Also, try loading up coretemp 0.94 and see what it reads. Does the side or front of your case have any vents to allow more air in than your intake fan?

Hi,

I've downloaded CoreTemp, and it said that the cores are ~51C. while SpeedFan thought that it's ~35.

HOW can it be?
What are these readings? where is it comming from?

btw:
* What are a regular Intel Core 2Duo E6300 idel temps?
* I'll check out the HSL!
* To see the fans, look at my previous posts, there's a nice picture to see the air flow.

THANKS
Gil

Speedfan is assuming a tjunction value of 85c for your CPU and Coretemp 0.95 assumes a value of 100c hence the difference. There are some good temperature threads on this forum that'll go into a bit more detail. They are worth reading.

What are you saying?
That two softwares that read data from the hardware give diffrent results?
is it hot??

and what is this tjunction ?

To go back to one of your original questions, in Speedfan, your temp 1 looks like your GPU temperature. Not sure if this actually comes from the GPU or from the Northbridge but your reading looks similar to mine.

The temp 2 looks like your Tcase temp. Easy way to check this is look in your bios settings and see what temperature it is reporting (the temp in bios usually reads Tcase).

I don't use CoreTemp - had some problems with this. If you want a second or verifying data on the core temps. I would recommend the Intel Thermal Analyzer Tool (TAT).

For comparison, I am running a E6600 with a Zalman 9500 HSF, and slightly overclocked to 2.8GHz (no voltage increases ~1.32 Vcore). My idle temps are around 31C on both cores and at 100% load temps (using TAT) around 58C.

Echo bobjmoran comment, read the link in his reply. It provides a great guidline on temps.

Hope this helps...
