Last night I went to shut down my computer and updates were available to install, so I chose to let them install and went to bed. This morning (after about 9 hours) the install is still running and I get the standard "do not turnoff or unplug your computer; . . ." What happens if I force a shutdown?

it sounds as though you may have no choice than to restart pc
