Ok i'm back with a revision of my build and I think I finally have the build I want, to finally upgrade my 6+ year old my AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 1 gig ram geforce 6600.

I'd appreciate a critique as well as any answers to some questions:

Please note: I won't be running SLI, don't need Wifi (P5B deluxe) or firewire or Raid.

- E6420 (OC to 3/3.2ghz)
- G.skill DDR2 800 (so I can OC at 1:1 by just increasing CPU FSB - and this RAM instead of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 because I hear G.skill better OC'er, correct?)
- Gigabyte 965P-DS3 or ASUS P5B - they are both good, is one better? (I'm not concerned with future proofing, so I don't need a P35 unless P35 will enhance OC & memory performance. When Penryn's come out and DDR3 drops as well as the G90's prices *then* I'll upgrade.)
- 8800 GTS 640
- Corsair 520HX
- Thermalright 120 extreme (not concerned about the possible lapping issue)
- WD Raptor 75gig (honestly that's all the space I need, I don't have a vast multimedia collection and only play maybe 2-4 games tops at a time - not concerned with Raid either.)
- P180b (same as 182 except case appearance)
- Vista Home Premium
- Arctic Silver 5
- anti-static wristband
- am I missing anything else? This is my first ever build.

All I want is a decent system to play the latest games for the next couple/few years at close to max settings as possible on my 1440x900 19" monitor.

Will this setup should do the trick?[/b]
