Q3 Problems -

Hi - I just started playing Q3 again, but am finding some difficulties.

I can find servers using Q-Tracker ok, and some servers work but some dont.
The majority appear to connect, but when the graphic is changing from
'Awaiting Game State' to a shot of the game itself, the image seems to cut
half/half on the screen at a 45 degree angle and freeze. Thats it - nothing
more can happen and I have to restart.

I dont remember having these problems before - and I am hoping someone knows
what to do. Tia!

Using any additional pk3's (maps and models)?
Try moving em out.

Thanks heaps for that - I had copied some extra pk3's into the directory to
save time later - not a good idea apparently.
One more thing if I may - what does Version Mismatch 999. - 999 etc mean?

Do you get it when you are joining a server running a mod? Then you
probably have the wrong version installed, or you don't have the mod
installed at all. Maybe you could try loading the mod first, instead
of starting from plain Q3, or a server browser. But I don't think I
have gotten that exact message myself.

- the exact message is
Version Mismatch C-999.-999-999/S1.76

I dont have any mods installed - but the last time I did all this, Q3
installed the various mods everytime it logged onto a different server that
had a different mod.
Damn - i think I had auto downloading off.. OK! - Let me try this again!!

Uninstall the mod. Check and delete the arena folder.
Download the latest ra3 full version.
