PLEASE NVIDIA, GET IT RIGHT FOR VISTA ULTIMATE,for our childrens sake. While 780 mainboards have been reviewed, all have fallen short of Vista Hurdle in Ultimate, at least according to reviewers, where old issues remain.
However, with just guess this may be little dumping that sails ship of home entertainment thru its 4 core days in 68 design. Often each processor chipset number has about half dozen variants, each for its own purpose. Media is one niche with TOP end specs. en masse', so it may not be till Oct '7 preview that exact beast is nailed down, as early attempts are basis for final Media Complexor. Its not over till its over & over 80 cores is where its over.
ooPS, ADMENDIUM, ITS CHIPSET, NOT JUST CONTROLLER. HERES FEW JUICY DETAILS"\:Nvidia MCP 78 will support the AM2+ platform, HyperTransport 3.0, PCI Express 2.0, and HDMI and Display Port video outputs, added the sources. MY aBOVE WAS MORE OF CONTROLLER DEVELOPEMENT. LIKE MVP BEING AMOUNG GROUP OF CONTROLLER/CHIPSETI.E. MCP,MVP,ETC. & THIS CALLS ITSELF MCP, ETC..Anyway, specs look hot & overal view is scorching. GOODEN LUCKEN.

According to a article today at Digitimes, some sources are indicating that Nvidia will plan to launch their new MCP 78 chipset in just a few months. This will be Nvidia's next platform that includes integrated graphics, something they are relatively new in the market for.
Due to production issues, MCP 68 was delayed to market. AMD is planning to launch their next gen chipset before too long, which may make Nvidia fearful that vendors will turn to an AMD CPU, AMD chipset platform, rather than sticking with an AMD cpu and an Nvidia chipset.
AMD's 780 series platform isn't expected until mid 2008, so Nvidia has ample time to prepare. There is not yet an official press release from Nvidia regarding the launch of MCP 78.
