Formerly I could click in the Address bar of the file explorer (explorer.exe) and start typing in an address, e.g. C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\client_1\network\admin, then click Enter and it takes me there. There never used to be a time limit for how long I could take to type in the address. Now something has happened and when I start to type in an address, after a random number of seconds it overwrites what I have typed so far, restoring the old contents of the Address bar and highlighting it in blue. So now unless I type in a short address and click enter at lightning speed there is no way to use the old feature anymore. Is there a registry setting I can check for this, or any way to bring back the old behavior? Thanks.
