i saw some ddr2 800 is now exclusively cheaper than 667 in some shops.
I want to ask if it is possible underclock a ddr2-800 on a 667 mobo to make it work or getting any extra higher than 667

it was nForce 570 SLI intel that i want to know if it could do a ddr2-800 regardlessly if it was 667

Most if not all 570SLI boards should run DDR2 800 with out under clocking. To make sure go the the RAM mfg web site and enter the mfg/model of your mobo and the site will tell you what RAM is compatible with your mobo. I know you can do this at both the Crucial and Kingston sites, not sure about other mfg.

thx for info, but the mobo i was looking at is ddr2 667 compatible. would a ddr2 800 be backward compatible with a ddr2 667 mobo?
