Hello,

I know this isn't the place, but you guys might be able to help me... I'm
looking to replace my single disc progressive scan DVD player with a changer
that holds several hundred DVD's.. Is there anything out there other than
the Sony models??

Thanks!
Troy

Pioneer makes the DV-F07 and DV-F727 that hold 301 discs and play
DVD/CD/CD-R/Video CD.

Nope, not familiar with the Kenwood... my wife saw the Sony at Best Buy, so
that's what I got.

No complaints, I think she was very thoughtful to get it, many wives don't
even consider getting their geek husbands techno stuff.

I own a Pioneer Elite PD-F19, which was one of their CD-only 300-disc
changers from a few years back. I got that model because it had a connector
for a PC keyboard to input artist/album information, rather than fooling
around
with a knob to input characters.
It's been fine and I think they use high-quality D/A converters
(Burr-Brown).

I don't own their DVD/CD changer but the machines look so similar I've
got to
believe the transport and changer are very similar if not the same.

I'm not familiar with the Sony. At the time I got my changer, Pioneer
offered
300-disc capacity and Sony did not, and I tend to like Pioneer for
bang-for-the-buck.
My Pioneer Elite home theater receiver and my car in-dash MP3/CD/FM unit
have
both been great, so I like the brand's quality.
