Hello there

I'm about to replace my old graphic card, amd 6870

to either a amd 7970 or a nvidia 680gtx, now my question is..

will my machine be able to run one of these cards fully optimal and which one would you prefer? and is it even possible to run an nvidia card with my amd chipset?

i use a single monitor, 1920x1080 120hz

my machine:

You won't see much improvement with a new video card, waste of money at this point. Your video card is high end enough to match your CPU. If you want to run things faster, you'd need a fast i5 or i7 cpu not the AMD one along with a faster video card.

Wait a few more years for an update.
