Tiger Direct Canada selling the q6600 + XFX 680i Sli motherboard for 549 CDN.

I'm happy with the system in my sig. but maybe it's time to go quad. I had been thinking of waiting for the new G stepping and swapping procs in my current system but this deal is tempting. Thoughts?

Wow, that's a nice deal Very tempting.

I recall when E6600 dropped in price, a couple places they went out of stock - including briefly at Newegg. I hope Tiger, Newegg, ZZF, etc have lots of Q6600s in stock. Cause the demand from builders is going to be huge.

Actually the Q6600 + mobo combo was $499 about 12 hours ago. I guessed they realized it was too low. Sick deal.

Quite a few sites are lowering prcies already, probably because they bought some q6600s for a mroe expensive price then it will cost on july 22nd so they need tog et rid of em.

Ebuyer.co.uk is down to £250 from £300 already.
