Hi, I have a very annoying problem. Random drivers or .inf files for devices keep on being deleted. First, it was my mouse, then USB storage and now my soundcard. Previously, I have had to download new drivers or .inf files from the internet to fix. I have run AVG virus checks everyday which picks up nothing. Whilst I can fix this issue mannually everytime, it is very annoying and I am worried it is only a matter to time before something critical stops working - like a monitor.

Has anyone seen this problem before? If so do you knwo how to permenantly fix it?

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar thing happen and chkdsk removed some corrupted files then replaced the files once the chkdsk was run. After all this I ran the virus scan and malware was found, but it was not found prior to the chkdsk run.
