This may not be the place to ask but I wasn't sure where else to turn.

Basically I want to make a website for a group of mine. What I'm looking for is an easy to use site builder, I need to be able to make a blog-type main page where I can post articles and embed videos/photos as well as having an attached forum; I would prefer to have a forum that I can customize and design the way I want but I understand the limits of site builders so if I'm forced to use proboards for the forum then I can do that.

I know nothing about HTML and I really don't want to learn it right now so I just want something relatively simple or even a site builder that allows you to do your own html stuff if down the line I do learn or find someone who can do it.

More about : website builder

If you know nothing about html and don't want to learn it maybe you shouldn't be building a website?

My advice to you would just to use websites that are already in place.

If your group already uses this website people will be far more inclined to pay attention to content and contribute.

As much as I dislike it, a Facebook group seems like it would meet most of your needs apart from customisation.

If it's an average non fancy website your after then moonfruit isn't too bad. It's literally drag and drop things where you like along with being able to upload your own images and also being able to drag and drop them where you like.

When I took over somebodies job at the company I currently work for they had made the company website using moonfruit (I was quite ashamed as he was the head of design), I instantly started to redesign and program the website as it can be limited (hence 'If it's an average non fancy website '), one of the issues I found with it when giving it a chance was using custom scripts such as flash that has several directories of files, it just doesnt work. There are some built-in scripts that you can use but basically I'd only recommend this to somebody who cannot design and/or program and is only after a simple website.

You don't have to be a 'geek' to know how to do it although I would recommend using the trial period initially so that you can find your way around it all, of course there is documentation on how to use it.

Or you can look at www.bsoco.com

However, do not rely only on the rating and ranking of this web. I advise you to be accompanied by an expert in in the area.
