I need some help in deciding on a MB for my new gaming rig.

- I don't need SLI or WIFI or IEEE

- I may need Raid if two 80gb 7200.10 Seagates are faster for gaming than 1 75gig Raptor (saves me $$)

Gigabyte DS3R ?

ASUS P5K Deluxe ? I'd hate to spend $200 though as I plan to get 4 gigs of this RAM. Unless Vista 64bit is not good for gaming and 4 gigs is too much. Then I'll get 2 gigs of ram and get the P5K Deluxe.

I'd like to push the E6420's FSB as high as possible on air cooling with the G.Skill HZ RAM.

Thoughts ??? TIA!

If you are going to OC, ASUS is the best game in town. Gigabyte would be my second choice.

I would also recommend this cooler.

That's the MB I recently purchased. I was also considering the P5K but in the end the double DDR2-DDR3 slots convinced me. I'll probably also get the Arctic freezer as a cooler. I was set on buying the Thermalright 120 extreme but I don't like all those stories about it having a concave base and that you ought to lap it to get the best fit. Honestly, there is no freaking reason why the base of that cooler shouldn't be flat straight. Anyways, I still have time to change my mind since this built is work in progress and I buy it piece by piece.
