I was planning on using this PSU http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817371002 for an upcoming build that will consist of

Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Q6600 (cooled with Tuniq Tower and hopefully OCed to 3 Ghz at least)
Nvidia 8800 GTS (640Mb)
1 SATA HD
1 DVD burner

Will I have enough juice with this PSU or do I need something better (please recommend something if this one is not good enough)

Thanks a bunch

Try plugging your spec's into the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator. Should give you a decent idea of your power supply requirements.

With it's 42A on the combined +12v rails you wil have plenty of power. The system will only really need about 34A to 36A max.

How did you come up with 42A? Need this info to find a proper PSU for a PC I am building.

I do not see this in this Antec site

There is a pretty comprehensive list of PSUs here (PSU Reference List) which includes the +12V Amperage. There is also a way to figure it out by knowing other thing about the PSU but I'm not sure how to do that...
