Boot into Safe Mode (hit F8 while booting). Scan you system at that time. if that doesn't find anything that could be causing the problem, it might be Avast itself.

Boot into Safe Mode again but this remove Avast. See if that fixes it.

either u got another av program on it when u install it or u got some kind of virus...restore to a previus date..if that doesnt help then u might have to reformat and reinstall os.
