Adobe photoshop

I have downloaded adobe photoshop, but cant seem to get it to install, let alone open. I have never had this problem before. I am thinkng maybe I need to convert the file, then it will install?! Any advice will help. Thanks!
P.S. Its Photoshop CS5 2011 for MAC Extended
If I need to convert, what is the best program to install to convert this file?!

most install files are in exe format. if you are having trouble then contact adobe support for assistance on installing your copy of cs5. they will be more than happy to help their customers.

unless of course you pirated a copy. in which case we can not help you and adobe might question you.
