I could trade in what I have and get that card for future pref.\
I'm not spending money at all for the trade. he's acually buying it off me for the price of the 8800 gts 320mb. also ebay sells the 7950 gx2 for less, witch is odd, here http://shop.ebay.com/nvidia-geforc [...] 0gx2Q201gb
I play bf2142 and plan on buying E.T. Quake Wars and Crysis
Please guy's I know this is a dum post but need your opinion.... :? I'm getting a Q6600 cpu w/ P965mobo.
7950GX2s are really nice cards....it is an extremely tight decision... only reason i'd get an 8 series over it is because of dxx... i say wait, sure, the 7950GX2 will drop in price, btu so will everything else, so if the 7950GX2 is doing you fine now, it should do for some time still, wait about 6 months then sell it, pitch in $20-$30 and get an awesome card.
Keep your 7950gx2. Get the 8800 or 8900 card when there are at least 20 dx10 games in the market. There is no sense in getting a 8800gtx if your aim is to play crysis.
Go ahead trade the card. And if you have extra money pay the difference for 8800GTX. The 8800GTS 320 performs almost the same in DX9 games with 7950GX2 and has DX10 support. I'm a bit disappointed from some preliminary benches with the current generation DX10 cards in DX10 games like Company of Heroes patched 1.7, Call of Juarez and Lost Planet Demo but still you get playable frame rates with all eye candy enabled at 1280x1024. It's up to you. Sell the card now coz later no one will be interested for such graphics cards anymore.
