I have attempted to speed up my drive by changing registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE by adding a new DWORD value, "NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate" and giving it the value of 1. However, I placed it in the wrong file (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE file and not the file "MyComputer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControleSet\Controle\FileSystem" were I should have placed it. Would someone PLEASE inform me how to undo this mistake??
I am using Windows XP Pro.
