i wanted to get started on making my new rig, im planning on buying a radeon x1950XT pcie, thermaltake 700w psu, intel core2duo conroe 2.13ghz LGA 775,
2GB of gaming ram, and all i need is a motherboard to fit all this. my brother is giving me his mid tower case. anyone help me pick one out on newegg? thanks

Depends on if you want to go P35, or 680i, or x38..

A nice, user friendly board, 680i board I recommend is below.

A P35 board should support DDR3 but at this point that won't help you given that you already have the RAM, which I assume is not DDR3, but I could be wrong.

I don't know if I'd go for that board. It's expensive and SLI or Crossfire only gets a 20-20% performance increase. I'd go for this, although I don't know about overclockability, that said:
