Hey all thanks for stopping by.

My aunt for whatever reason wants to install AOL 9.6 on her Windows 7 Ultimate box. When she tries to install it on her machine she is repeatedly getting a message to reboot her computer and then try the reinstall again. I have done this alot of times, I also made sure that she has the latest updates installed and still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? Tech support for AOL sucks so I am hoping that someone can help me out here.

Thanks.

You should have just bumped your previous thread buddy!

This other thread talks about similar issues that you are having.

The best option would be try installing a previous version. Then perhaps the registry change. Can't say I recommend the RTM method.

The ultimate solution is just telling your aunt to get with the times and dump AOL.

I agree with you when I should tell her that she shouldn't use AOHELL but she is stubborn like all elderly....
