When viewing photos I use to be able to see at the bottom of the screen the date taken, auther, tag, comments etc. and it has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. When I click on view I only see status bar, missing is the explorer bar and one other toolbar. I also use to be able to see at the bottom of the screen the f stop and aperature settings but they too have disappeared. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

have you been changing your appearance settings?

try this..open up run (you can press windows key and R), then type in

systempropertiesperformance

then click "adjust for best appearance". click OK and try again

Thank you....learned something. It worked, but it use to show the F stop and aperture settings there as well and they aren't there. Any idea how to get them back on there?

make the bottom bar bigger. Put your mouse on the border of it it should turn into double-arrow, drag it upwards
