A good PCI card anyone?

Figured this was the best place to post. I'm running off of a three year old Dell, and I only have PCI slots. I'm trying to get more power in my graphics area. Anyone know of a good PCI card that won't break my wallet?

  1. Only PCI?

Can you tell us what type of Dell it is?
  2. also what sorta requirements do you have???

not that you can get a very powerfull pci card. but still...

also, are u sure it doesnt have a pci-e slot??
  3. I have a friend with a Dell in a similar situation.

If I remember correctly, I think about the best you can get is a PCI Geforce 6200, which scales to about 5x the performance of the onboard 'extreme graphics.' It is a step up, sure...but not much of one. The bargain dells just aren't made for performance gaming.
  4. Can you unlcok the PCI 6200s to a 6600 ?
  5. Some of the first PCI 6200 card's could unlock more pipes--not any more. The best PCI video is a x1550.

It may even strain the Dell's power supply.
