Firefox stopped working vista

Hello, I had firefox for a couple of years and a month ago it slowly stopped working at all and I had to install IE. I haven't seen anything specific online as to what happened - I would like to reinstall Firefox if possible, but need to know is there a conflict with Vista/Firefox?

No conflict I have experienced. Something like that would be well documented and addressed quickly.
