After doing searches throughout forums and the net, I have found nothing on whether or not Vista will ever receive TRIM support. I've been considering upgrading to an SSD but without TRIM I won't be realizing it's full potential. Therefore I would like to find out if Vista will get this in a future service pack or something along those lines. I have a full version of Vista Ultimate and am hesitant to upgrade to 7 yet as Vista's working fine for me and I don't feel like spending over $200 on another full copy of windows just for TRIM. Thanks for any input.

Not sure about TRIM support with any upcoming 'upgrade' for VISTA. To prevent excessive performance degradation without TRIM support, run CC Cleaner to clear up the drive. It's not TRIM, but it helps to keep the drive performce at or near it's peak in the absence of TRIM.
