i have used idm on xp sp2 with 16 connections per download .now im using xp sp3 and have set the same configuration but it only downloads with 8 connections per download please help me out

I've encountered the same issue exactly, and after some searching I found the solution - you have to select your connection speed to truly enable 16 connection downloading.

open IDM then click option , then click on connection after that setup Max. connection number 16 that's it ok
